I'm traveling to Barbados next week and was wondering if anyone out there has been to Barbados,what you thought of the place,and what was your favorite thing to do.

My favorite place in Barbados is a little place called "Ginger Bay"- You have to hike down the cliff through some cool caves to get to the pink coral beach, but well worth it, Private, the water is an indescribable colour, and the little beach is not visible from the top of the cliff- There is actually a small resort there. Only Island in Caribbean of non-volcanic origin (thus the pink sand from the coral)-Cabs are all clean and most are Mercedes. Friendly people- If you have the time try to go to the French side of Martinique- Great Yacht harbor, shops and restaurants of every variety- Have fun!!

Dine out! Barbados has some of the best restaurants on this island!! The Cliff is my all time favorite. For lunch we always enjoy The Crane's restaurant.

Our favourite spot is the east coast, we go there every weekend. It is quiet - except for the waves - and the beach is amazing.
We also like to go to North Point for a beer and to enjoy the rugged scenery. There is always someone to talk to up there, and you meet some very cool people.
If you enjoy the outdoors, the National Trust hosts a free hike every Sunday morning - check their web site for next weeks location. Good opportunity to learn about the island too and again - meet people.
