It is illegal without a license and there is a limit to how many you can shoot even with one. Your best bet is repellant. You can make it cheaply here is a recipe: from All Repellants: http://www.allrepellents.com/2006/07/homemade-deer-repellent/
To make the homemade deer repellent mix the following with one gallon of water:

5 eggs (Blend them thoroughly if you’ll be using a sprayer to avoid any clumps. You’ll probably need to strain the mixture before using)
1 cup of buttermilk, milk, or yogurt (think stink!)
2 Tablespoons of hot sauce
1 Teaspoon of liquid dish soap
1 Tablespoon of vegetable oil
15 drops of cinnamon oil - optional
2 Teaspoons of finely crushed garlic - optional
Tip: Mix the ingredients in a blender with a quart of water first. Then combine the mixture with additional water. It will help keep your sprayer from plugging.

This homemade deterrent is most effective when sprayed just before your buds appear, but can be used throughout the growing season. You’ll want to change the ingredients occasionally. You can begin without the cinnamon oil and garlic in the mix. Add it later. Randomizing the bad tastes will help confuse the deer. Start in a small area to determine if the repellent is working before making large quantities is recommended
Also recommend you spray every 7-10 days to keep odor strong and after it rains or snows.
There is also the human urine repellent it works because deers fear people.
If all else fails talk to the game worden they will be able to give you the best advice on how to detur the critters from the yard. Good Luck!

No, don't shoot the deer especially If u in a residential area... you could face severe being arrested and charged with multiple violations, having your gun taken away and if your in a vehicle they can take that too. Don't shoot at night either, wildlife game wardens will arrest u for sure.

Rental property or not u must follow your state hunting laws and have the proper licenses. Now if ur a farmer, there are different rules that apply to them but it does vary from state to state. Know your state, county and local ordinances before u raise a gun at any animal. Don't ask for trouble.

I'm assuming you have plants and trees that are being ruined by the deer. You first want to ck with the landowner. Maybe he can provide tips on what he/she did to ward off the deer if anything. use ask.com they may offer tips or suggestions how to resolve.

No way! That’s illegal and moreover, it is better to look out for a solution rather than just going out and killing them as soon as you spot them. The Watch Dog Goose Patrol Dog Decoy can help you! This decoy looks like a live dog in action, place one or two of such decoys in different corners of your yard and see those deer stay away from damaging your property.

There is a product called a growler that is triggered by movement and when tripped by deer (or anything) will emit a low growl imitating a wolf or large dog. This sends them running.

Only if you have a hunting license, during hunting season, and you are not too close to homes and highways. Check with your local department of conservation. And, be careful -- don't start shooting anything till you get an answer from them.

If you're honestly trying to get rid of them, I'm sure there's some sort of pheromone out there that will deter the animals. HOWEVER, if you're just looking for something to shoot.... get a pellet gun and just sting the creatures.

Do not shoot and kill the deer. Instead inform the forest department. they will catch and take them safely to zoological park.
