Yes a little... I guess no one makes too many observations in hands but they are quite a fascinating piece. In fact, one may have a bump on their finger or a callus, giving their hands an asymetical shape but it tells you not only what hand they use to write, but the fact that they write a lot, or they might grip their writing instrument strongly. This might tell you that the person is really focused and concentrates on what he/she writes. Small fingers/ big fingers may tell you something about dexterity/ strength... precise or hardworking... Also, the way someone cuts their fingernails tells you something about their hygiene or taste if they jazzed it all up with fingernail polish.. etc... etc... etc...
So I would have to say that hands do tell us something about one's personality, but they are not the complete sum of a person. Besides other factors for determining personality, we do have other body parts.
:)

Just by shape...no not really. I've seen people with flat wide hands that have similar personalities to people with plump narrow hands. Now I think the way the hands look tell you a lot about the person's personality. Chewed fingernails and cuticles could mean the person is a very anxious or nervous person. Immaculate hands clean of any imperfections well manicured could mean the person is a perfectionist. But just going by shape I don't think it reflects their personality at all.

Um... no... not really!
I think the way the hands are taken care of might be an indicator of the person, but not the shape...
My hands are pretty small and my nails are pretty short (I'm a bit of a germaphobe) but the shape of them don't reflect my personality... :-)

Cool question. some factors to evaluate... at the start, handwriting would be suggested to mirror temper besides. hence in case you're feeling extremely offended, depressed, torpid, or notwithstanding...it may demonstrate itself on your handwriting as deviations. 2d of all, i think this variety of character diagnosis is predicated off of your maximum organic, instinctual variety of writing. i actually write in 2 categories- the 1st a mild progression of my organic variety and the latter a variety I taught myself. i exploit them for differing purposes, and it somewhat is a wide awake swap. from time to time i visit flow to jot down something in my 2d variety (lots bolder, cleanser, and crisper), and that i accidently initiate with my organic. Then I you will desire to alter and the writing flows... As for various character sickness...mutually as i'm uncertain if there's a distinctive link between the remark and the sickness, i'm extremely drawn to viewing persons and their writing pattern. If the personalities are subconscious of one yet another, the writing variety can alright variety besides.

If you're really good at palmistry you may be able to get some information about their personality. A much better way is to talk with them.
