well. are you asking the difference between and ipod and an mp3 player? or mp3 format vs. aac format? I personally dislike ipods, because they are over priced, lack functions, have awful battery life, and itunes is terrible. mp3 format is better than aac format, purely because it is slightly smaller, and is compatible with most players (except the ipod).

the biggest distinction between an Ipod and the different MP3 participant is that once tunes are on the device, Apple makes shifting data off the Ipod confusing. in case you do no longer care to exercising this function it would not particularly count quantity. some MP3 gamers do no longer help the AAC format, which Apple does. i individually want a non-Apple device, as i choose something smaller than an Ipod and don't experience i ought to hold each and every music in my library at as quickly as.

ipod has only one thing...itself. so if you buy it, not every cool gadget comes with it. some mp3 are just the same, but some may be cheeper and come with radio, accessories, etc. ipod has a very short battery life. i was thinking of going from an ipod to a mp3 player.

iPod is just Apple's brand name for their portable music player. An mp3 is an audio format. Almost all portable music players can play mp3s. I find that ripping music at 320 or above makes an acceptable mp3. Anything less sounds like crap.
