You refer to the visit of Apostle Paul in the Greek (authentic) Macedonia.
It was probably in 50 AD when Paul first came to the city of Philippi and he founded the first Christian church in Greece which also was the first Christian Church in Europe.
Paul visited the city on two other occasions, in 56 and 57. The Epistle to the Philippians dates from around 54-55 and shows the immediate impact of Paul's instruction.
Today the city of Philippi is one of the most important archaeological sites of Greek (authentic) Macedonia.
The first church attested in the city is a small building that was probably originally a small prayer house. This Basilica of Paul, identified by an mosaic inscription on the pavement, is dated around 343 from a mention by the bishop Porphyrios, who was present at the Council of Serdica that year.
Check the first site below! It is the official site of the Greek ministry of culture about the archaiological site of Philippi. You will find it helpful!
{Do not confuse the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia or Macedon (which was the region that Apostle Paul visited) with the modern state of Slavic/Albanian-Macedonia as they are not related at all. The confusion has started a few years ago because that small state started to use the name “Republic of Macedonia” causing a great confusion with real Macedonia in Greece.}

Here are some websites on MACEDONIA!! MACEDONIA was one big empire! It was ruled by the Turks for many years! MACEDONIA was divided into four in 1913 by the Americans and Britishes! Greece, Bulgaria,Albania, then the rest of the country went under Yugoslavia! In all these parts that fall in a different Country today they still call it MACEDONIA!! MACEDONIA is back as a country again after Yugoslavia was divided but only the part that was divided to Yugoslavia after 1913!
