I was given diversions on a charge that was filed against me as a misdemeanor and need to know that on an application when they ask for convictions would a person going through diversions be considered convicted of that misdemeanor?

NOT a conviction

the arrest still stands though

meaning: you have an arrest on your record, but not a conviction

Let me guess drugs right? My past haunts me too but if its court ordered diversion,it was handed down to you through a conviction.you can ask anyone of the bailiffs at the local court and they could answer this question better than I but I would list it and the place you went through the diversion with for a character reference
