two resistors and an ammeter connected in series to a 6v DC supply. the distance of the ammeter is so small that it can be ignored.

What is the combined resistance of the 8ohm and 4 ohm resistors in series...

what is the current supplied by the 6v DC supply?

state the value of the current recorded by the ammeter

a) combined resistance in series - add them up
That is, 8ohm + 4 ohm = 12ohm

b) V=IR so, I = V/R = 6/12 = 0.5A

c) Ammeter in series reads the same value throughout. So, 0.5A

Sorry but I can't understand your circuit diagram!! Try explainig it!

What is the combined resistance of the 8ohm and 4 ohm resistors in series...
They are in series so they add to 12 ohms.

what is the current supplied by the 6v DC supply?
I = V/R = 6/12 = 0.5 amps

state the value of the current recorded by the ammeter, in section PQ, in section SR of the circuit?
I = V/R = 6/12 = 0.5 amps - current is the same throughout a series circuit
