These stereotypes are myths grounded in liberalism and perpetuated in public education and state universities.

The truth is, the way to encourage donation to private interests is to free up private money. Cut taxes across the board, and you would probably see vast improvements, even in the lame programs that the most liberal in society hail. Eventually, some piece of crap liberal movie star would come to their aid....

You have to understand it doesn't work that way. Liberals are only generous when they are spending conservatives money. If you pull government workers, minorities, immigrants, and welfare recipients off the dem voter base, they no longer have the ability to increase taxes the way they do now. I am a minority and a republican with a wife whose a second generation American. Its a shame the way democrats buy their votes with my money. Its amazing that dems cant get voted for any longer when they are constantly trying to giving away cash. That strategy used to work but thank God the American people are smarter than that now.
Let me ask you, how much higher would you like to see taxes go? 60%, 80%? How about people start following the conservative way of paying your own way until you absolutely need help. Nahhhhhh. Lets just keep giving away cash. Dems need someone to vote for em. Keeps it fun.

At least conservatives are duty bound to do the right thing. Yes, we hate everybody getting a piece of the pie that we have worked for, but at least we do it. There are actually some people out there (myself included) that would NEVER even CONSIDER taking government assistance. Not because I am a snob (which I can be), but because I feel that it is my duty to wipe my own tail.

In Massachusetts we voted to drop out State Income tax to 5% from 5.8%. Our lovely State Legistlature only dropped it to 5.5%.
But they left an option for anyone that wishes to pay taxes at the OLD rate.
Only 471 people did it this year.

Your sources are very poor and mean very little as they are so biased and are set up in a way that anyone can challenge!!
We give at the office and at just about every other local charity. We just don't get credit as we can't take it as a tax deduction, which is how it is counted!
Many liberals pay 1/2 their income in taxes, social security and sales tax! Exactly how much more should they give?
We don't give our clothes to the salvation army to use it as a tax right-off!
The US is one of the worst nations in giving money for help!
Let me know when a millionaire gives 1/2 of his/her income to taxes!!

I doubt it. There's a lot of hypocrisy with the liberals. They say a whole lot of stuff, but when it comes down to it, they don't tend to practice what they preach.

Most libs could not donate because they are on welfare
And no, those sterotypes are not true. My ideology as a conservative, is that if you don't work, but you phsyically can, well, I could care less about helping you, since you don't want to help yourself

if tax were a donation, and conservatives donated less. there would still be a good use for them,
sending them to war. or feeding cattle with their dead bodies.
