If you use number ones as a yardstick, in the UK it took Elvis forty-five years to surpass a record which the Beatles set in just seven. As for record sales, the Recording Industry Association of America has certified that they have sold more records. He will be remembered as a great performer. They will be remembered as great creative artists, and their music will outlast his.

But you have got to remeber Elvis died through taking drugs ......... but went down as a heart attack ....... this is open to debate
