What are Interest Groups?

What are they!? How do they work? Can someone explain to me what are Interest Groups and list some major examples?

Special Interest Groups are organizations that push for causes. These groups collect money from the people who believe in these causes and then lobby politicians for these causes.

Lobbying is done by either the group presenting the causes to the politicians or providing money to support the politicians so that they stand behind the causes. Essentially making the politicians indebted to the organization that supports the cause.

The special interest groups may have their own lobbyists or they may hire professional lobbyists to go to Washington for their causes.

Examples:

1. Right to Life Groups pushing to stop abortion.
2. American Civil Liberties Union - A group that pushes for civil rights.
3. AARP - A group that pushes for the rights of senior citizens.

An interest group is a group of people that think against the normal grain of society. These include the ACLU, the NAACP, PETA, ELF, and others like them. They make up a minority of citizens, but for some reason have plenty of financial backing to go to court when something happens that they don't like. The ACLU thinks everyone has rights. That goes for rapists, murderers, terrorists, illegals.....and so on. They will fight for the right to let a child molester back on the street and you will never know who that person is. That puts your children in danger. The ACLU, however, doesn't think about your child when they are fighting for the molester's "right" to be free.
I mention the NAACP mostly because they think whitey owes the black race something. They claim they are the oppressed people. Uh, last time I looked, blacks have just as much freedom as the rest of us. Their ancestors, the African slaves, had a bum deal. They were sold by their own people to a bunch of lazy white folks. They were treated awful. The NAAPC wants to have the black man given everything. A real black man denounces the NAACP. He finds his own way. He doesn't want a hand out. The USA is not the only country guilty of slavery. Slaves built the pyramids of Egypt. The Greeks inslaved their own people.
ELF is really a domestic terrorist group. The Earth Liberation Force. They go around blowing up saw mills and other easy targets because they think the industry is being mean to nature.
Interest groups raise a lot money for their political party of choice, that is the Democratic party. The politicians really don't care about what these interest groups stand for, they just want the cash and make them some promises. That's how come we can't drill our own oil and get away from the Arabs. Well, that's one reason. Political greed is the other. But the Dems keep the interest groups alive. If they wouldn't cater to them, these pathetic little groups would fade away.
