God, I really hope I would and that it would start to make it okay. We were just talking about this today - statistically there have to be loads of gay footballers but I don't know of any. Its like the last place where its a problem to be openly gay (maybe the armed forces as well I guess) and it would make such an impact - think the steps that have been taken by the footballing world to overcome racism in sport and imagine if they could do the same with homophobia.

Plus, on a more frivolous note, it would give the WAGs some GBF's to play out with!

No it wouldn't. If I have a poor opinion of a player it's because I think they're rubbish, not what they do in their personal lives. Hopefully most people have moved on from judging players because they're gay, black, or anything else. I just want to see my team win football matches.

I would if i was you either can live with your self or you cant i would hate to live a lie aye you probably would get pelters for it but lets face it everyone that used to gay folk now its almost nothing at all and the ones who do have problems with it are bullies and probably have hay tendensies themselves

Hell no. Far too many footballers are thick gits and as such homophobic. Then there's the fat skinheads wearing Pele shirts (that don't fit) at the games.

Well, everyone knows that the Frnech players are *******, so I couldnt see a problem with a poof calling himself a poof. Unfortunately, i think when he called himself a poof, everyone would simply think he was French.
