Haagen Dazs is a totally made up combination of letters. The actual company is located in, like, New Jersey or somewhere, but they thought their ice cream would sell better if they gave it a glamorous-sounding name, like it was from Sweden or somewhere. Either their scam worked or Haagen Dazs really is better quality, because they certainly charge an outrageous amount for their ice cream!

Nothing. It's made-up. It was invented by a Polish immigrant in the Bronx in the 20's His ice-cream was selling really slow, so he made up this funny sounding name and sales rocketed. People still think it's made somwhere in Denmark or Sweden, but it's as American as apple pie!
