Yes. The verdict is just; the consequences of the verdict, however, may prove to be very unpleasant indeed. More fuel for the Jihad.

Who did the sentencing ? The Iraqi court? Was this an Iraqi tribunal? The verdict is just. This was a Dictator, Saddam Husein ! Amazing, one less Dictator in this world, that should be good !

This verdict in my opinion really blurs the line between "eye for an eye" ethics, and American jurisprudence.
Only God knows what punishment Saddam really deserves for what he did.
In both cases, Saddam will meet the justice he deserves for the Iraqi genocide he ordered.

He should have been tried in the World Court, not by Iraqi's that we put on his judicial panel! The verdict was a forgone conclusion! The rest was for show!
Now if Bush gets his date for trial!

I think he should have been turned over to those people he tortured and suppressed for so many years and let them have their way with him and if there is anything left let him hang. After all in that part of the world they believe in a hand for a hand.

we dont hang over here so im not reallly used to that kind of thing kind of makes me cringe but if the shoe fits...... and it does hes getting what he needs to get he hurt a lot of people oh and you shouldnt threaten bush one girl put something on he myspace about "killing bush" and got paid a nice visit while she was in school from the secert service or something just a tip

I'm glad he got the death penalty, though I have to say that death by hanging makes me squeamish. I just hope when he appeals that the verdict stands.

I think that it was indeed a just decision. I also, feel that it comes at a very heavy price. Iraq will experience much more turmoil in the months to come...

I don't think he should get the death sentence. That is the easy way out. He should rot in jail for the things he did.
