I am thinking of buying a Technics PR303 digital piano ensemble/keyboard second hand. Does anyone know if they are good? I can find nothing on google on this model. I want a digital piano that has weighted keys and feels/sounds like a real piano for composition and piano playing. Any info, thoughts or websites on the Technics PR303 specifically would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

If you would like a performing professional's opinon, go to www.grandband.com and email or call Glenn. He has purchased or tested just about every keyboard on the market! If he hasn't played on it personally, I'd bet he knows someone who has.

I think that the first thing is that you should look at is the age of the keyboard, has it been heavily used by a pro musician or a lounge fixture that gets the odd bashing by Auntie Violet on high days and holidays. Buying second hand keyboards is always risky and a good new dedicated piano with a weighted action is not expensive. Yamaha P60 and the Korg SP200 are good pianos with weighted actions and good sample rates, but they do not have built-in amplification. I have a Korg which I bought new for less than £500. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the ensemble type piano, but it does have something I really rate...a two year guarantee. I feel that this is something you should consider before parting with your cash.

Does anyone know if you can take the legs off easily to carry up two flights of stairs?
