I've always been curious if drinking alcohol has any effect on birth control? I feel weird if I have some alcohol in my system and then go to take my pill which goes into the blood stream as well...anyone know?

if you drink enough to throw up or have diarrhea it can force the hormones in your pill to be flushed through your body too quickly before they are fully absorbed...keep the drinking in moderation.

Alcohol won't affect your birth control pill. There is an information packet that comes with every prescription, read it with all the precautions and things to avoid the next time you refill it.

Nope. I just started birth control & I read that huge pamphlet with the teeny print. There is nothing in there about alcohol.

no, drinking should not affect birth control. unless a person is using a mechanical form of birth control like a condom or diaphragm, and the alcohol makes them too stupid to use it correctly.
