It depends. I change my hair color a lot and always pick different colors to suit it. When my hair was dark brown, I really liked to wear green, blue, and lavender. Now it's kind of reddish so I can't wear red or pink like I could when I was blonde. It can depend on skintone too. Mine is very pale so I look goth when I wear dark colors. Also, you could pick out colors that bring out your eye color.

I usually pick neutrals or earth tones, but can be tempted by greens and blues.
One thing I do these days is look at the fabric content. I am sick to death of shirts that shrink and won't buy anything that I suspect will.

Navy blue, red, and bright green.
So now my whole closet is full of shirts that are the same 3 colors. And I don't even look that good in them. Who knows how my mind works when I'm shopping....

I ususally pick what I had the most color of. Like if I have more Blue Jeans I'll go for blue shirts, socks, and etc.

darkish purple is my popular color and that i've got many products of outfits in various colorings. I easily have some purple hijab, and that i'm at present donning a purple swearshirt and purple Crocs :-)

I have no real fashion sense, so i really just randomly pick something that fits my body and has a design i like...
Yet I do seem to have a thing for different shades of blue...

I usually pick out blue or white because it goes with my fair skin blue eyes, and blonde hair.

I like the clours Maroon, Dark blue, Pink, White, and Brown because they match my dark brown hair and eyes.

i try to pick fun colors and different colors so my wardrobe doesnt all look the same.
