I got my navel pierced a week ago, and I've noticed it occasionally hurts when i do certain things (like if something hits me there). Also I've noticed a sort of scab forming round it...is this normal? Please help!

yeah that's normal. occasionally it will be slightly swollen and red.

Yes that's normal. Just watch out for Keloid scarring. Hopefully you were warned about it. It only happens to certain people. It often happens with piercings and 3 of my friends had it happen with their navel. The skin keeps trying to grow over the opening but can't so instead it starts growing down around the jewelry. There's nothing you can do about it except take the jewelry out for good.

yeah that's normal.... just keep cleaning it (iodine is the best) and it'll clear up. It took mine almost a year to heal completely (to the point where I could take it out and it wouldn't close)

Yes, that's normal. As long as you clean it (per the instructions that the piercing place gave you), you'll be ok :-)

i had a scab around mine too but it went away, and yah mine was killing me too, but it got better after like 2 weeks. bad thing is mine got infected; not a pretty sight trust me
