Most computers are capable of both US and European voltage. Egypt runs on the same voltage as Europe (220-240). Check the transformer on your laptop to make sure (it's the block where the two power cords come together); the voltage range will be listed on the transformer. You will need a European-style (the kind used in continental Europe, not the British style) plug adapter to be able to plug it in.
Also, I highly recommend an international surge protector (specially made for other countries with different voltage) for your laptop since the electricity in Egypt can be rather inconsistent. Better to spend the $20 or so than end up with your laptop fried from a surge or the constant up and down of the current.
