Neo-Cons are former Democrats...sort of, but why do?

I hear the Right throwing into our faces like it's the Liberals fault that the Republicans are home to the NeoCons?...they voted for them, they had no platform that the Democrats support...that's why they went to the Republican side...they were looking for a home and they let them in with open arms. Just because they had origins in the Democratic party, does not mean they are true believers of the ideology of most Democrats. They are anti-democrats, that's why the Republicans wanted their ideals.

hehehe! holy feces! for 6 years the neoCONs have proudly proclaimed themselves to be Republicans and now that the turds are hitting the fan all of a sudden PNAC was conceived by Democrats. people like Cheney, Pearl, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz created PNAC. are neoCONs asserting that at one time these people were Democrats?! give me a break. do these people ever get nauseous from spinning so much? i know all the slimy spinning is making me wanna puke.

Neocons are (mostly) former Dems who grew disillusioned with the Dems. We are for a strong defense, not necessarily for all the Rep social agenda. For example I couldn't care less if Gays marry. My only problem is with how it is being done in some places. I believe that legislating should be done by elected legislators rather than by unelected, unaccountable judges.

The original neo-cons were former Democrats, decades ago.

Now the term refers to any conservative who follows the same political model, namely a conservative social agenda but a desire for heavy government regulation to promote that agenda.
