Well, the real key is just to stay focused. Every website has all kinds of things to get you to stay on that website, and Yahoo is notorious for it. You go to pull up your mail, and you see the latest headlines, you get pulled off to read up on Saddam Hussein's verdict.
You'll notice all the advertisements everywhere. The hosting website gets paid every time one of those banners loads, just like TV networks try to have the best shows so that you'll watch their commercials.
