Heat and toxic smoke rises. Stay low to the floor to remain in the clear air until you get away from the fire to avoid smoke inhalation.

You should stay low in any fire situation because it is ussually the Smoke that kills you not the Heat. Smoke rises as the hot air is denser than cold air, and the breathable air is towards the floor.
I knew that when I was in Primary School, so you really need to learn your fire course.

Fire or burning material gives off carbon monoxide. This takes up most of a room area as it rises with the heat of the fire. Oxygen that we need to breath is lighter or cooler this stayes at a lower level.

Fresh air comes through the gap at the bottom of the door. This pushes the smoke up towards the ceiling. If you stay low you get the benefit of the fresh air.If you stay upright you inhale the fumes.

In the majority of fire related deaths it is the smoke that kills you. Statistically most smoke from household fires rises, and so if you stay low you will be in a narrow band of cooler, denser air that will be safer to breath.

Most deaths are because of the toxic fumes and smoke, and not from the fire itself. So, while you might not be where the flame is hottest, you still need to take the smoke in consideration and stay down.

The smoke rises. Most people in burning buildings die from smoke inhalation, not burning. If you stay low you'll inhale less smoke.

Smoke and heat rises so the lower you can get the clearer and more smoke free + cooler the air. Allowing you time to crawl out safely hopefully xx

1) You spelled safety wrong
2) It depends if you want to get out of the burning building
3) Assuming you want to live, stay low because hot air (including smoke) rises. Which means if you want to see and breathe efficiently, stay low.
