Hang him? I think that holding him prisoner is good enough.
Does the Bush administration know what kinds of problems will arise as a result of this punishment? There's already a group of people out there that are opposed to the capital punishment. Secondly, there are a lot of people in Iraq that aren't very happy about this, especcially the Sunni Muslims. They might be inspired to "strike back". This would only put the USA in more danger. So, no. I don't think that he should be hanged, just kept under life sentence.
Also, some people who are opposed to the hanging say that if Saddam is to be hanged, then so should Bush, because he is no better a man. He is a murderer just like Saddam, so he should deserve the same punishment.

Sheila B statement says it all. If we hang him therefore we are murderers just as he is. That would mean we all need to be hanged....... Do we really want to be just like saddam? What if we forgave him and his acts of terror? Taking vengence won't solve the pain he has caused. Lock him up, and forget he ever lived.

SAY WHAT ?!?! By Americans ? We dont do that ! We were holding him prisoner , we shouldnt allow that to happen . It's not right ! Besides he didnt have the weapons of mass destruction ! Nor did he have anything to do with 9/11 . I dont understand this !!!
