I love the Beatles. If I remember right, everytime a Beatles song was played, Jackson made money. Can that still be possible. He was not a true friend to Paul and Elizabeth Taylor better think about that.

Micheal Jackson bought the rights and original catalogue of old Beatles tunes. You damned right he is making good money off of it. There are many corporate types that would like to get their hands on those catalogues. There is no crime associated with this deal.

I suspect that you are a Micheal Jackson hater... or maybe deeper than that. You, my friend would be shocked and saddened if you knew who really owns who out there in the music world. Micheal owns a lot more but the Beatles are just his most talked about deal.

Say what you want about Micheal Jackson ( I have my own critique as well) but he is one shrewed business man. I just wish he was black again. ;)

Michael Jackson borrowed a heap of money from old friends Rory Emerald, Dame Elizabeth Taylor, and Liza Minnelli. Michael Jackson literally gave Rory Emerald the Beatles music catalogue during his controversial molestation trial in 2005. Emerald obtained/bought the catalog from Jackson for thirteen dollars. They have been "best friends" for years.

FABULOUS QUESTION!

I am The beatle's #1 fan...The songs were given 2 Paul after the bands break up...Paul didn't want them so he sold them 2 Michael Jackson..unless Jackson has sold them very recently..he still has the rights and he still makes the money..

I would imagine that a prize asset like his share of the Back Catalogue he bought, which includes the Beatles portfolio would have been secured as collateral very early on in his debt restructuring.
It was conservately valued 2 years ago as being worth in the value of $555 million, with an annual income of $19.7 million.
Not bad for a 1986 purchase price of $46 Million.
And, overall, an excellent investment beating most common stocks, with ecellent long term potential for generating income, with an assett base that can only rise.

MJ did not scouse borrow something from the Beatles. Paul McCartney had the alternative to purchase the rights to the music on the instantaneous & till now, as apparently he had more effective money than MJ. possibly Paul regretted his decision later, of not procuring the rights of the Beatle music himself, even as he had the prospect to finish that. sounds like a good answer from Sound of Settling!

oh yes that's true.but the rights are in joint partnership with Sony and Michael's mjj productions.paul was royally PO'd when Michael gave Nike permission to use the song revolution in their commercial.(good)I'm still mad they made a song with my name, even though it was out before i was even born.and if i ever hear the beatles do it again i will SCREAM.the only bright spot is Michael owns it,now he can remake it all he wants.i would love for him to redo it.
i am a major fan.my name is moonwalk, that shoulda tipped you off.

Liz Taylor supports Michael so I don't know what you mean there...

And yes. Those rights are his only hope.
