It would initially knock you unconscious. When you came to, you would have a feeling of nausea and you would also feel cold and hot at the same time. There may be areas of your body that are numb and others that are hypersensitive to all external and internal stimuli. Your vision may be impaired and your short term memory will be effected in some way or another. You'd be shaky and disoriented, dehydrated, and clammy. Over all it wouldn't be a good feeling.

Here's the dilly on electrical shocks. In conventional electrical supply systems the juice is always trying to reach ground. If you are the conduit, it goes right thru you and into ground completing the circuit, in other words, zap! What does it do, well the current flow will leave a scorched track through your body, with the inevitable entry and exit wound. Remember the "your 75% water" thing about all humans, well its a great conductor. It depends on where you get hit, some people have survived incredible hits of lighting and electrical shocks! Others have keeled over from touched a distributor cap on a car while the motor is running. If the scorch track goes through your heart or brain, your done. What do you feel, I have a feeling its not to pleasant. The electric chair is a horrific way to die and from what I understand you pee and poo yourself and if you don't have teeth guards on you bite down and crush your own teeth. Oh, its cooking you from the inside, your actually boiling from the shock(remember the 75% H2O). Your internal pressure rises and your body vents, from all your holes, lol. The nice thing about lighting is that its an unimaginable amount in Milli seconds, I think getting hit by lighting makes you state pretty when you fry! Hope this helps.

I'm with you. I've never been struck, but I've met people who have, and it's always peaked my curiousity. It's supposed to rain and thunderstorm in the next few days. Do you think I should run around outside with a lightning rod so I can find out?

I've been struck by lightning and it is a son of a *****! Not only physically does your entire body burn! But it also makes you depressed. I have scars on my left shoulder from it and it hurts worse physically and emotionally worse than anything you could imagine I even had thoughts of suicide after.

You wouldn't know until you regained consciousness. The strike would short circuit your nervous system and you'd be out instantly. Afterwards, depending upon how lucky you were, it'd be burns (feet, head) and a feeling that you'd been kicked several times by an elephant.

I don't think you would feel a little pinch. It would probably be more like a hard punch. I got a bad electrical shock one time when working around water and electricity. I didn't know what happened, it was so fast. It knocked me off my feet. I didn't realize what happened until after the fact. But it felt more like a very hard punch. then a pinch.
