It's got to be hate. If you are indifferent you don't hate someone, or love them either. You just don't care.

The opposite of love is indifference. When you hate someone you still have feelings for them (good, bad, or otherwise) but if you are indifferent towards them you don't care what happens to them.

that saying replaced into spoken by skill of the Buddha over 2500 years in the past. most of the answerers have tried to describe the adaptation by skill of utilising a one-on-one occasion because it would consequence them. a greater occasion may well be the killing of six million Jews by skill of the Nazis. individual Germans who have been in touch interior the holocaust did no longer hate the Jews. the only way they might bloodbath adult men, women people and childrens on a daily basis, daily, replaced into by skill of being completely indifferent to them as persons. IMO, indifference is plenty worse than hatred. Hatred demands a great sort of potential that could't be maintained for an prolonged time. Indifference demands no potential. Indifference facilitates a individual to work out suffering all around them and probably no longer care. How undesirable.

Oooh oooh I saw this on Desperate Housewives once!!! Like someone's son hated his momma and she's like well at least you hate me because indifference would mean that you actually care and that indifference is like the feeling of nothing...
Also this is probably why Mersault gets so much hate from everyone whom he is indifferent to in The Stranger..
So yes, indifference would be the opposite of love... however hating is like evil loving.. yeaah that's it... So it depends on if you're talking about caring (then indifference would be the opposite) or the dark side of love (hating)... ooh I like it!
