Buck up and finish the year. Discipline is good for you.
Bet you didn't want to hear that. Let me explain a bit for you. You've already gotten the loan for your semester or year, or paid for it, why waste good money just because you're bored. Finish the time, then go find a job. Any old job will do, and without a degree any job is exactly what you have to take. After you've busted it at work for a few months college is going to look mighty fine and you're going to regret wasting that time and money, but, if you finish the semester it's not wasted you still have that and now you can go back and finish college like you wanted to in the first place. You're smart, don't be dumb.

If you are going through life right now without objectives than spending a lot of money for uncertain ends is not helping. "Some kind of training or school," is what leads to confusion, or lack of goals.
What drives you? What are your interests? Interests and drivers are the best starting point for your education, and continued happiness in your life.
It really sounds like you are adrift. Possibly, up till now you have been pushed by family as to what to do with your life. Now that you are out there "doing it" without having someone else pushing you, you are confused.
The key to getting to clarity and self understanding is to set goals. I mean actually write it down. You can't measure yourself without taking data points. These data points you have written down form the needle of your compass. Only then, when you know what direction you are pointing, can you make good decisions on where you want to go next.

Don't drop out. If anything, you can get your basic courses out of the way now. Even though you don't like it, it is important for your future. You don't want to work a minimum wage job. Try to find a club or group to join. Don't drop. You could be really disappointed.

Not everybody needs college.
Figure out what you want to do, then make your goals to get there. Most likely, college will be needed. If you feel a different school or different type of school is needed, go for it.

really consider what you want to do. i hate school too, and here i am getting a 4 yr degree because my training school diploma wont get me a job. look at what the qualifications are for what you want to do, and go after that. really REALLY take your time and think.

Unless you have a definite career path, you'd be better off not wasting time there.
