Don't approach her, she will only attempt to make your life miserable. She has made homophobic comments and will therefore continue to do so in an attempt to distance herself from anyone that is know to be or suspected of being gay. Usually when people behave like that, they ARE gay and she probably is a lesbian. I believe some recently outed pastor said he's been fighting that darkness his whole life. Its not darkness, its denial of who you are and this is where she is. I'm thinking someone has probably asked her if she is a lesbian and to ward off any additional questions or thoughts -- this is the road she has taken.
If you will notice, people who protest about things too loudly -- usually are a part of those things about which they protest.
Leave her down the hall. When she's ready to come out and need someone to talk to -- don't be surprised if she comes knocking on your door -- but don't wait on her either. There is someone out there for you. Concentrate on being the right one and the right one will come along for you -- she did for me.
Leave her down the hall.

Okay so you have a crush on this girl, right and she's "straight" right so dont go there!
Latina 445 is right on the money with her answer.
If in the event this girl turns out to be a lesbian that will be another story.
Why cant you be her friend or are your sexual desires what run you and you are not strong enough to redirect yourself when your feeling the lust!
Then satisfy yourself or find some one who can then go around her and be her friend.
It truly is not right for us to push our sexual desires on those who are not on the same path as we are whether we are straight or gay.
Plus help all us gay people out here and help educate people as to our value and normalcy so that we can achieve equal rights.
By pursuing a hetero you could really cause yourself damage which is not what you want plus you would be giving all of us a bad name!
Good luck

Sounds like you have a little emotional S & M going on here. And that, girl, is not healthy. You've GOT to realize this. Besides, you can't always have the hottest girl in school.
P.S. If you live in a dorm, how is it she's down the hall?

This could be a defense mechanism. She may really have homosexual desires but using the homophobic remarks to hide her real feelings. Don't let her know you are gay. Try to meet her as another student.
Then don't try to force the conversation. In time if she has feelings of being gay, you will know. Take it easy, go slow, you may find out that the two of may have a lot in common.

Try to get her into a chat about gays, and use your powers of common sense and persuasion; tell her that any form of bias is bad, and that people make unconventional choices sometimes, but it's not bad, if that's what they want/need, and see how she reacts, and maybe where her homophobia stems from, and take small steps toward changing her attitudes, and be very calm and "attractive" as you talk to her...

If she's straight it's not meant to be especially if she's a homophobe. You gotta move on, besides if it's an all girl school then you have plenty of options.

leave her alone, she's straight! You have no right to impose your beliefs on her that's sick. How would you feel if somebody you know, who knows you're gay constantly tries setting you up with men? I think you should reevaluate yourself and your morals...if she's homophobic you could just be setting yourself up for harm, what if you freak her out and she gets someone to hurt you? Just let it go and find yourself a nice gay lacrosse or rugby player, she won't be pretty but she'll be gay

You are too young to make any decisions like the one you are thinking of making. Spend your time on your studies so you can become a successful person. Trust me, you will be glad you did.
