Today Saddam was sentenced to be hung, on the account of the 1982 killings of 148, as he heard the verdict he shouted "God is great!"

My question to you is this, how do you fell about Saddam being killed? Now that he is being killed is their any reason to be in Iraq?

i think he will not be hung..........because if he is hell will break loose in iraq eaven more than it is now....yes some are happy about it but the most are not........he was the only one that was able to control the iraqis....does america really think that it could get things in iraq in order??????? hell no. they should not have gotten into iraq because americans are suffering the results.....
the trial was not fair at all.....he was sentenced to death for killing 150 people that tried to assassinate him...what was he supposed to do.......serve them dinner and let them go!!!!!! no they had to be killed......time will come and you will see.

My reaction to the verdict....woohooo!!!
Now that he is being hung....probably only means that we will be in Iraq for the long haul!! Think about it....there are followers of saddam
in Iraq and elsewhere who believe that this is an injustice...right or wrong that is how they feel!!! Most of the citizens of Iraq are very aware that he was a tyrant....but some are still trapt in the mindset..that he provided for them!!! We can only pray for these people to be clear-headed!
I believe that we (our soldiers) have gone into that country (Iraq) to help them build a new fair government.... and we cannot leave until the leaders of that country can independently and effectively run that country under a fair democracy!!!
Look back into the history of all countries who have fought for Independence....
The U.S. for example we fought the king for Independence. Eventually with a lot of bloodshed (at close range I might add) we became a our own country and really that wasn't so long ago.Beyond that we had the Revolutionary war....Civil War all of these wars were an integral part of our Independence.
Let me get back on track....Yes we still need to be in Iraq...the only other road block that needs to be cleared is Osama and al-quaida....
I'm aware that how I see this might be unpopular but it needs to be done for all the children in Iraq!!!
God Bless our Troops and may they all return Home!!!

Saddam will hang! He has only one appeal under Iraqi law, which has to be filed within 30 days. The court has an unlimited time to respond to it. Hanging him will bring some justice to the families of his victims, but it will also bring an increase in the violence against our troops. The unrest will escalade for some time and will be the reason for the US to stay in the country.

Yes indeed he needs to be hung, look at how many people he had killed, while he was living in palaces & had the best of everything. These type of people are a threat to our society & security. We need to finish the job in Iraq, & lessen the threat in the USA., we don't need another attack that killed our inoccent people. We have our freedom & it doesn't come cheap.

My only surprise is that his attorneys didn't "walk out in protest"... A bigger bunch of blustering baboons I've never seen... At least the Iraqi people will get SOME justice out of this stupid war. We'll leave their country in a war-torn, schizophrenic ruin, but, Hey! We killed Saddam Hussain!

he should be killed, but he still needs to be tried for the other crimes he commited. It means he could get loads of death sentences, so he cant escape. However, yes we do need to get out of Iraq

aHe deserves to be hung!!!! I also think we should get out of iraq asap. We have no reason to be there. We should tell them to quit their dumb wars and crap or else we are going to drop a whole friggin bunch of nukes and wipe iraq off the map. Seriously.

Who sentenced him exactly? Americans or Iraqis? If it was the Iraqis whatever but hanging as a sentence is illegal in the U.S. and if we can't hang one of our own we shouldn't be able to hang anyone else either. But, I'm politically ignorant, as you can see by my question. Sorry.

at first i thought he should be sent to an american prison with alot of big skinheads (no offence to any1, plz dont be offended) that will beat him up in the showers everyday, so he can live the rest of his life in agony and guilt.
