Any true patriot should not be shielding a war criminal.
Bush admitted to violating the federal war crimes statute (18 USC 2441). The Supreme Court confirmed it. Just because he's gotten Congress to retroactively wipe the slate clean doesn't mean he didn't break the laws as they were at the time.
Any true patriot should be demanding that our elected officials obey our own laws. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be happening.

US citizens need to vote their choice in this upcoming election.
I wish we could get some momentum to impeach Bush and get him out of office. I am tired of seeing our service persons dying because Bush does not care about our people.
I was shocked when Bush proposed war because it seemed as if no one remembered the mess we had with Vietnam. People were really condemning me for being against the war in Iraq - even my own husband said I was not patriotic - but I was right after all.
True patriots are thinking people, not necessarily waving the flag all the time but acting in the interest of their country and upholding the laws.

Shielding a criminal posing as the "leader" of your country is not patriotic at all--in fact it is treason. Speaking out against tyranny in defense of the integrity and well-being of your country is what is patriotic.

No, must be that patriotism is shielding all of the civil crimes committed by Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Teddy Kennedy, Patrick Kennedy, William Jefferson, et. al.
I've yet to see one of you geniuses cite a war crime that the President could be accused of committing. If you don't have references, shut up about it alraedy.
