what would be the best answer to: 'why have you chosen to study experimental psychology?'
i appreciate any hilarious responses but i will be giving points to the actually serious ones. thank you!

motivational drive that goes beyond regurgitating previous theories and discoveries?

I know what are you talking about. I have an interview with Cambridge University for Law. First say that Experimental Physics is your passion, that really want to do in your life. Say that this subject is like a religion to you and that you are going to do this even if things will not work out for your admission to Oxford University. Feel what you say and try to look to them serious and very sure about your decision. Good luck.

Psychology is the study of how the mind works. If you can't analyze your own mind well enough to answer why something is of interest to you, perhaps you should consider Accounting.

They didn't ask you why I am interested in the subject, and I really couldn't tell you because I really don't want to know more about it than I could learn at a cocktail party with someone who knows about it. You are, though, so you should be able to express the basis for this interest without anyone's help.
