No way! Rick Perry is waaayy better. He is one of the few politcians who has managed to stay off the news. And who would want to legalize marijuana? What is our world coming to?

Kinky Friedman will make a great governor - he's an independent. Unfortunately, in Texas, the governor is just a figurehead - the Lieutenant Governor has all the power. Rick Perry is just a clone of his predecessor - Bush the Village Idiot. However, Kinky won't get elected because the people of Texas have been brainwashed by the conservatives and their repressive agenda. If the college students get out and vote, Kinky stands a chance, otherwise he'll just be an also-ran in a 5-person race. VOTE KINKY!!!! WAKE UP TEXAS!!!!

Kinky realizes that laws against marijuana use do society far more harm than good.

Yeah, I think Kinky would make a fine Governor.

Texas survived having Bush The Lesser and Rick Perry as Governors back to back. It'll survive Kinky just fine. Like Kinky's campaign slogan says:

"How hard can it be?"

And look at it this way: Could he possibly do a WORSE job than Bush or Perry?

Your Honor, I rest my case.

I'm not a resident of Texas and so can't vote there and haven't kept up with his platform. Still what I've seen and heard of him, I think a vote for him would put the "businessass usuals "( this was origionally a typo but I like it and give it to anyone to use copywrite free) on notice that some realistic changes are nessecary . Like a person above me said vote other parties when you can.

Voting for anyone outside the 2 party system is a good idea. The two partys ran out of ideas sometime in the 70s.

Get your facts straight. He is not trying to legalize marijuana, he would be trying to decriminalize it if elected governor. Big difference. By the way I`m a Texan, and I am not a Kinky supporter.

Please be careful about how you vote, no matter what party... I live in Minnesota, and a few years back everyone up here was sick of dems and reps, so we voted independent. Jesse Ventura was worse than either the dem or rep probably would have been. We're still trying to clean up the mess. Please vote based on a candidates platform, not the party. (and that's assuming our votes actually count after voting fraud, i.e., Diebold).

I'd vote for him if I lived in Texas.
He has the proper stance on illegal immigration.
