I love books, and I buy a lot of them. I put them all up on a bookshelf, but the books always warp. The spine stays OK, but the pages start curving and start bending out of shape. How do I prevent that from happening? How do I fix the books that have already warped??

Timberwolf, Humidity is damaging your books. Get a dehumidifier for your home. It will remove the water from the air in your house and your books will stop warping. To fix those already warped, lay a number of similarly sized books one on top of the other and cover them with a protective board or cloth. Place bricks on top of them and let them sit for awhile. This has worked for some of my books but some are just ruined.

You are way to humid. I have over 3,000 books and maintain humidity at about 40 points. I don't have the problems that you describe.

it sounds like it's very humid wherever you are storing them....which is not a good thing, put same size books next to one another so they are sort of ,but not to, tight fitting standing next to one another..and find some way to remove some of the humidity....is the area air conditioned ?
