For an experiment, I'm putting the bacteria in a culture tube and incubating it overnight, what kind of nutrient should be in the culture tube for it to grow?

Usually some sort starch solution:

Agar is the most common bacteria culture food. Chicken broth should be a suitable substitute. get a can from the grocery store.
