It is actually Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory thats on right now( with Gene Wilder)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (with Johnny Depp) is more like the book written by Ronald Dahl but everyone knows the original is better

I definitely like the 60s version better. I love Gene Wilder in everything I've seen him in. The first movie seemed much more like something children would actually see. What was the deal with letting Tim Burton get ahold of a children's classic? Ick. Though I do like Johnny Depp. He's a very good actor. My favorite part of the new movie is either: (Johnny Depp, in a high-society British accent) " I'm sorry, darling. Mr. Wonka's being unresonable." Or "Everything in this room is eat-able. Even I'm eat-able. But that is called cannibalism, my dear children, and is, in fact, frowned upon in most societies." That made me laugh the first time I heard it. I guess I just didn't expect it.

The best one I thin, although I did like Jonny Depp, his face was beautiful and surreal. But the original I've watched over and over again.

Thanks. I'm a big fan of the movie. So much of a fan I have "Rachmaninoff" on my ring-tone because the same music was used for Wonka's musical door-lock in the Gene Wilder version. I gave you a thumbs up!

The old one. Johnny Depp gave me the creeps in the new one. Kind of like "Edward Scissorhands" meets Michael Jackson.

Gene Wilder can't be beaten as Willy Wonka, Depp is just too menacing!
