I like Thanksgiving the best. Over in the UK we do not celebrate Thanksgiving, but when I was in the US staying with my grandmother, we celebrated the holiday and it was nice. Christmas on the other hand is just terrible!!!! so much emphasis is put on buying other people gifts and if you don't have any money, you feel excluded. (suicide rates increase during this time) Plus it is NOT about the birth of Christ, that is an absolute myth. Out of all the holiday's Halloween is the WORST!!! Christmas a close second, but Thanksgiving seems ok.

Well I really like them both. But my family celebrates Christmas way more than Thanksgiving. I understand that both these holidays stand as a symbol for some important things in history.

On Thanksgiving though, the all my parents do is bring home turkey and make mashed potatoes and but gravy.

On Christmas they always give me clothes, no surprise, but more of my family come over. I dont really care that much for the presents. Its usual, they always buy clothes. It would be more exciting if they bought some stuff like a book or a game or something.

If you meant that I needed to pick one then Christmas. I really like school but I think it's really nice for us to have a couple weeks off because after all, you go to school for 5 days a week people!!!

We are not talking about holidays that was celebrated many years ago. We are talking about Christmas now. I Like Both Holidays to be honest. Thanksgiving is when you give thanks and start your Christmas list and put up your Christmas tree and then Christmas is when you have gifts on top of a meal.

I don't celebrate either one, but of the two...the heart (thanksgiving) of Thanksgiving is something I can see worth celebrating.
If you study the origins of Christmas, you'll see it is based on another religion known as Saturnalia.

I think it's better. In my family we don't celebrate thanksgiving, that's why christmas is better for me.

The food is good during both. I think Christmas may be better because I hang up mistletoe and get the women under it and they give me Kisses.
