That was a handle over the doors in the front or on the pillar between the doors. It was use to help in entering and exiting the vehicle as well as to help keep the occupant in place while riding if the driver was going too fast. "OOOOOOO Jesus, Wally slow down!!!!!!!"

That would be the strap or handle located in a car usually in front of or above the passenger side door, some do have them on the driver's side as well. These, I believe, are put there for the purpose of grabbing ahold of when going down the road and screaming "Oh Jesus!!!!!" just before you hear the crash.

This is the strap that is usually above the door on the inside of the car. You hang onto it when the driver is driving like a maniac and yell Jesus when the driver does something really crazy.

That's a better name for it. The handle/strap above the doors inside the vehicle are there to grab on to for what ever reason a person may have. I always called them "Oh ****" handles. if I am the passenger.

Yep, but normally we call the ones in my car the "Oh **** handle". Though it does make me wonder why there's one over the drivers door....
(yes, I know it's to assist entering/exiting the car. It was my lame attempt at humor :) )

I dunno, yet next time you spot a motor vehicle with a Jesus Fish sticky label, pull it off and replace it with a rainbow flag sticky label, then wait to make certain how the motive force reacts while they arrive back
