Judging by the info that you have provided, your problem is either 1 of 3 problems.

1. The hub that you're using is either set to USB 1.1 (if it can support USB 1.1 & 2) or it is only a USB 1.1 hub. Please check your documentation that came with the hub.
2. Due to one thing or another the bios has reset itself and have turn the USB sockets to 1.1 instead of 2. If this is the case, go into your bios and reset the USB speed from full (which is 1.1) to hi (which is USB 2).
3. Third one which there isn't a quick fix is that your motherboard has developed a serious hardward fault, to get round this either replace the motherboard of your laptop yourself or pay someone to do this for you.

Hope this helps.

the computers are running usb 1.1 Either the computers just don't support the USB 2 standard or you don't have the USB 2 drivers properly installed. You might be able to get a bios update for some of the machines depending on the mainboard. If you don't know what you're doing, then just ignore the message, fiddling with your bios can leave the computer unusable. Alternatively for the pc's you can buy an add in card for usb 2 connectors.

Go to device manager and uninstall your usb ports, then re boot laptop it will then pickup new device, then when prompted to install driver click search automatically, if it can't be found then you will need the software disk that came with your laptop, hope this helps.

Try and download drivers off the manufacturer's website under help/support.

If that doesn't work go to PC world or somewhere and see what they can do about it.
