I mean I am guilty of this very thing myself...but really why do we turn to someone on the computer instead of dealing with a little bit of confrontation and asking the person we really want the answer from?

An advantage to asking questions on here, is we, the answerers, have nothing to gain, nor lose , in giving the best advice we can give. We simply tell it like we see it, and genuinely hope it helps. We have an objective point of view for the most part, not clouded by all the "grey" that the person involved has. I think it's a great way of getting unbiased advice.....

Sometimes it helps to talk out a problem with a person who is bias. Sometimes it helps us to see what or where the problem really lies and sometimes it helps us to determine if there really is a problem or are we just being immature or just having a bad day. I am guilty of this also and have found that in lots of my cases, when I asked the question it was at the time a concern of mine but after reading the answers I got back, realized it wasnt much of a problem after all, it was my interpretation of a conjured up problem that I had created in my mind or I had just had a bad day and taken things wrongly.

So we don't get embarrassed about bringing it up to people we know. We don't want to seem too confrontational, in a way? We want an unbiased answer from strangers... a quick answer... Advice. We like to see things from a lot of different views before we make a final decision about something.

Because people on the computer may have been through the same ordeal as we before. They are more likely to have personal experoence and give us good advice. Some strangers have been there done that and want to share with others what they have learned.

A large amount of free information. Unbiased? Maybe. You can tell pretty quickly where everyone's coming from at least. Maybe we're looking for ammunition before the confrontation.

We turn to strangers because we know that we'll recieve an unbiased answer. Sometimes you want to hear what other people have to say instead of your friends, who more than likely will tell you what they want you to do or what they would do, not what is right or best.

We do it because the people on the computer don't know us. It is easier to ask certain things of strangers than it is to family and friends. Even when strangers insult us it does not really matter because they don't know us. We don''t care that strangers are disappointed in us.

Maybe its bc we already have confronted our other half and are still having troubles bc we are more baffled than before. We think that maybe someone not so involved in the situation could have a more objective view on the situation than we have or can.

We turn to strangers because we fear the truth from our firends and family. Alot of people can't handle the truth, even if they say: Tell me the TRUTH".

We turn to strangers, because we feel our firends and family don't care. Now you know this is true by all of these lame questions asked!!

We're in search of one or several that have the same answers we do in our own heads when asking the questions, so it makes us feel RIGHT to begin with.

We do it because we're bored, or lonely. Or just because we can.
