All my life I noticed a similiar pattern among females. When there teenagers all they think about there appearence. Making sure they have the right cloths on, spending hours in the bathroom making sure they don't smell, making sure they have tons of makeup and then repeating the process again the next day. All they talk about is what guy they like and who is cute and what there going to wear the next day. Once they get out of school and get to be over 25 they start losing there looks and body and basically fall apart. To me all of them go on anti-depressants. It seems like the same pattern to me. It's amazing how they spend there entire youth on maitenence. Something that doesnt' last in women past thirty

I love how some people say fourty is the new thirty and fifty is the new fourty. What a bunch of b.s People say that because they don't want to feel old and secondly some celebrities say that and everyone else believes it. Just something new to say. Some people are so impressionable.

ALL WOMEN??? no not me. when I was in high school, i did not wear make-up, nor did I give a hoot what guy liked me. Now at 26, I take more pride in my appearance, my body could never be better, and I STILL don't wear make-up. maybe that was your story

That is such a ridiculous stereotype. I'm 18, and when I was in high school (yea, I know, it was practically yesterday) I didn't obsess over boys or clothes or makeup. In fact, I have never worn makeup on a regular basis. I wear what is comfortable and what I think looks good, and the only 'maintenance' I've ever engaged in is keeping myself healthy. So the next time you decide to generalize women, please remember that EVERYBODY is different. Just because you happen to know a lot of vain self-centered women who get depressed because they see a shadow of a wrinkle doesn't mean that we're all like that. Some of us know how to look at the bigger picture.

This is a very wrong generalization and stereotype. I was never like that as a teen, and now in my 20s Im happily married and still I dont act like that. Just because the 5 girls you know are like that, does not mean the billions of them in the world are. If stereotypes like this were true then all men beat their wives, all Irish and Natives are drunks, and black people are all lazy gangstas. None of those above statements are true. Individual females may be very self conscious as they are young, and worry about trivial things, but not all of them are, and to group all women together like that and say they are all the same is wrong.

I wear/wore things that are comfortable and what I think look good on me. I don't and have never cared what others thinks. As a saying goes you can't please everyone, so you have to please yourself. and at 25 you do not start losing your looks or at least to those that are in the same age group. it's a maturity thing the older we get the less vain we become.I'm well past thirty I spend lots of time working out eating right to stay looking and feeling healthy

I am 36 years old and look and feel MUCH better than I did at 17. I think your observation is COMPLETELY wrong. Women today care more about their health and appearance. 40 is the new 30! Look at the Desperate Housewives cast. My friends look more like them than they do the frumpy old housewife in curlers and housecoats. Open your eyes and look around! Women past 30 are HOT

Sounds like you are hanging out with the wrong group!! I was nowhere near like that in HS. And I am now almost 30, and I have NOT lost my body (working out seems to solve that problem), and am not on anit-depressants. All you need to be concerned about is YOU and how you want to live YOUR life after HS. And dont worry about the rest. =)

Not all women. I am 28 and I have never looked and felt better in my life and I am married and have a child. But some women after they get married with children just get comfortable in life.

no! there are alot of girls young and old that have different outlooks on things. some girls put looks above everything else and others put studies or sports.....it really just depends on the girl.....or when they get older thay pass there traits down to their kids and thus we repeat the pattern.

Yes, ALL women are vain & shallow & superficial. No exceptions.
the feel they are the "prize' - they all want to snag a man thru their looks & they live for vanity & self-display.
that's why I don't like them that much. they like to perch on a pedestal & flaunt themselves. Their behavior is a turnoff !!!!
