It would take a Constitutional Amendment to keep the Village Idiot in office any longer. I suppose though, if there were riots in the streets, and he found it necessary to declare martial law, he might be able to cancel the elections and get away with it, but even that scenario is unlikely. If that happened, I'd move to Canada.

Bush has no choices to bend those rules without a coup-de-etat and a revolution. He is limited by the constitution.

We will have to rely on the Minnesota militia men. The would know what to do.
Gabriela, you have no idea what you are talking about, that specific rule has changed a few times throughout history.

Actually, I already took action 13 months ago. I moved out of the country, and still happy about it. I sent my absentee ballot last week though. Hope it makes a difference in my state (Virginia)
Sick of having a representative that calls people of another race "Macaca" and other racial slurs...

You mean, if Bush blatantly and willfully violated the 20th and 22nd Amendments, seizing federal power unlawfully and holding it by force?
That's reaching sufficient grounds for armed revolt.

Be very surprised. As a practical matter, it is impossible; the Constitution is perfectly clear on the subject.

Become an illegal Canadian immigrant. Wxetta - don't be so sure he couldn't, this president has taken more power than any other chief executive in US history. Look up unitary executive on google.
If there was a terrorist attack near the time of the election, Bush could declare marshall law and postpone the election indefinitely.

are you accusing him of that? and what rules exactly? even if you think the man is plain evil, why would you think he could change laws that exist untouched since the beginning of this country? besides i believe he is a little too busy for that. oh and if he would do that and you disagree, easy: just don't vote for him.
