If so why?

No, not at all. Beauty is pleasant to behold, but is transient and fragile. More important is character, which endures.

Not quite answering your question (the Why? bit, that is), but physical beauty (which is what I assume you mean), though an attractive feature of a human being, is a bit of a waste if, for example, the individual has a dull or pysochopathic personality. To be forced to spend a length of time with some one truly boring, no matter how beautiful, is not a happy prospect. In the long run, to have a delightful and kindly personality is better because it tends to last (often improves, in fact), whereas beauty, no matter how hard a person tries, fades away with age.

Beauty doesn't just mean looks. Confidence and a good personality matters more. If confidence and a bright personality shines through then thats what makes someone truly beautiful. only insecure people who don't truly like who they are think beauty is only on the outside. The most beautiful people can be stand offish and cold and not appeal to guys at all. Smile and hold your head up high and you will feel and look much more attractive.

No because what you look like on the outside is irrelevent. Nobody falls in love with you or is your friend because of the way you look. it's the person inside. Unfortunatly in today's society they send out the wrong message and tell people that you're nothing if you're not beautiful. That's totally wrong because you can get anywhere if you're talented or intellgent, not because you're beatiful. I mean, John Lennon wasn't beautiful on the outside but he weas such a kind and peace loving man and everyone loved him for the way he was, not for the way he looked. People who think that beauty is everything are shallow.

You can be beautful without looking it. There are different kinds of beauty. Everyone has different views on what looks beautiful.

It helps...but i wouldn't say it was everything...i know it's a cliche but beauty is in the eye of the beholder....okay here's an example i was out late one night and had to get up early the next day i felt i looked a little rough, and walking down the street i caught a glimpse of myself in a shop window, and thought again gosh i look a little rough...there was a guy coming towards me, and i thought oh no, any way as he was passing he looked at me and said morning beautiful...this is true...do you see what i mean now beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

well in order to evaluate your beauty, we need several things that are missing from the question ;

01) an actual and viewable photo image of yourself ?

02) to know who you are as a person ?

03) to know some of your history (backround)

04) what ethnic / heritage do you have ?

05) what are your likes / dislikes

06) what types of movies / tv do you like ?

07) what type of books do you like

08) who are your friends ?

09) who are your parents ?

10) how old are you ?

aqll of these and more factors make up who you are as a person, the inner you, as well as the outer physical apperances, stir the mix, evaluate as to each individuals persons personal point of view as to what beauty is and you will come up with a plethera of answer, that are all correct, and yet are all in correct.

if you care to discuss further click on my avatar and im or e mail me , i f not online leave message and i will respond when possible !

Only to those who are shallow, stupid and mean. The idiots of the world are the ones who place importance on it. See beyond the exterior in every person and you're never wrong.

Beauty is like a book you don,t judge it by it's cover it what is inside

2006-11-05 05:53:26 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 1 0

I would hope not.
But in middle school....it is,even though its whats on the inside that matters. We shouldnt judge people by they're appearance.Too bad none of the "popular"girls know that...
this is what i beleive-It's simple, really. In high school, the pretty and skinny girls from middle school will be fat and ugly. The fat and ugly ones will be pretty and skinny, because they were patient, and they didnt care about looks...and they got good marks and had a good personality. The pretty and skinny girls from middle school will be fat and ugly, because they didnt have a good personality, and they only cared about their looks, not their marks, so most of them will not even make it through grade 9...
everytime a "popular" person calls me fat, ugly,or unpopular,i smile because I know I have a good future.
i wish everyone thought of it that way....
