It was expected.
The world knew what the out come of the trial was going to be.
He will take his place in history right next to Hitler,Stalin,Pol Pot and the many other that commited horrendous crimes againt his own people.

I agree that Hussein was a bad guy who should have been removed from power and tried for his crimes. How ironic, though, that it was the U.S. that helped him gain power in the first place.
I still think we should have been focusing on bin Laden all this time, since he, and not Hussein, was involved in 9/11. It seems that since they couldn't apprehend bin Laden, the Bush administration decided to use Hussein as their scapegoat and hope people would forget history. I guess it worked.

I think a lifetime of hard labor would be more suitable.Death is too easy a way out
