My husband, who is now 59, always agreed with what you just said. If you're old enough to fight for our country, old enough to vote, why wouldn't you be old enough to drink. Doesn't make sense does it ? We think you should be allowed to drink if you're in active duty.

just kidding by the way. You should. Drinking age is a state law, but if the states decide to lower it below 21, they federal gov't takes away money for the highways.

Because your elected officials decided that the "legal" drinking age in America is 21.
If you don't like it, vote in someone new.
Also, as a former Army Infantryman, who has served overseas in many countries.....
A lot of countries have a drinking age of 18. So you'll be okay.
