It really depends. Typicallyin the United States it is 9:00am until 5:00pm Monday through Thursday, and 9am until 6pm on Fridays. However, there are some banks, like the one that my business banks with, that is 9am until 4pm, except on Friday's where they stay open until 6pm. Then there are some credit unions that stay open from 9am until 6pm Monday through Friday and 9am until 12pm or 1pm on Saturdays.
Then there's my bank that is Monday through Friday 9am until 7pm and 9am until 5pm on Saturdays.
So they do vary, but typically banks will stay open longer on Fridays. It really depends on your bank and where you live, what country you live, etc.
Hope this helps!

You are clearly as misguided like a seagull lead by a blind bat. Not all banks are open on weekends, only a selected few are open on special places and during special occasions. Certain transactions are allowed in weekends, withdrawing money would have to be done on an ATM, and foreign exchange is not possible. Working 24 hours a day / 7 days a week would be a great humor and upset in maintaining personal life. China's divorce rate has skyrocketed in the past 2 years due to extra-marital affairs and more time spent in the workplace, the children are greatly affected.

If the greatest return you can get on your money is the interest payable on a bank acc you should speak to a financial advisor, I would keep the money in shares, £1.50 buy commision at HBOS.
LSE opens 8:40 but bid offer spreads are high till about 9:00, theres always premarket/greymarket trading or you could go with a range of markets all open at different times or maybe forex (open 24 7)

Generally here in Wyoming USA, the banks open anywhere from 8:00 to 9:00 am, and close anywhere from 5 to 8 at night. The ones in the grocery stores have different hours.

You have a computer. You are connected to the Internet. Your bank, as well as all others, have websites. If you are on Yahoo, you can simply enter the name of the bank in the search box, hit Enter and Shazam! you will have a list of websites connected to the specific bank you are interested in. Alternate path- all banks have (800) numbers. Call information. Get the number for the bank in question, and call them. they will tell you -for free!
