My father has two mares named Lady and Whiskey. I had an appy mare named Lucy. You could use Princess, Bay Dawn, Beauty, Sunny or Sunshine. These all make simple yet pretty names.

I had a bay gelding that was just so handsome, I couldnt help but name him GQ. You could go with something more feminine along the same lines, like Cosmo(politan) or Vogue.
