6 to 8 hours of sleep is necessary for the human body.

Its Importance:

Sleep is a natural part of everybody's life, but many people know very little about how important it is, and some even try to get by with little sleep. Sleep is something our bodies need to do; it is not an option. Even though the exact reasons for sleep remain a mystery, we do know that during sleep many of the body's major organ and regulatory systems continue to work actively. Some parts of the brain actually increase their activity dramatically, and the body produces more of certain hormones.

Sleep, like diet and exercise, is important for our minds and bodies to function normally. In fact, sleep appears to be required for survival. Rats deprived of sleep die within two to three weeks, a time frame similar to death due to starvation.

An internal biological clock regulates the timing for sleep. It programs each person to feel sleepy during the nighttime hours and to be active during the daylight hours. Light is the cue that synchronizes the biological clock to the 24-hour cycle of day and night.

Optimal sleep amount

An American study linked life spans with sleep amount and found that those who sleep 4 to 7 hours live the longest, with those sleeping less than 4 or more than 9 hours living shorter lives[1]. The National Sleep Foundation however maintains that 8 hours of sleep is optimal, claiming improved performance in tests, reduced risk of accidents and a better immune system. It is important to mention this does not apply to children and adolescents, particularly children who require as much as 13 hours a night.

Depends so much on who you are and what your activity level is. Some people (like me) need 8-9 hours of sleep to be fit for fight. For others 5-6 hours might be enough. Small kids need a lot of sleep. So if you are tired during the day you probably don't sleep enough. I don't think it's possible to give a more general answer.

If you have any problem, then conselt the doctor. Why to waste your time in sleeping... Just joking.
That is because you become lazy after sleeping for a long time. You just have to go for a walk in a little colder weather.
Night you sleep at maximmum10 PM and morning maximmum wake up at 6:30 to 7 or earlier. Sleep for 1/2 hour after comming from school. After waking up go for a walk. And after waking up at the morning go for a very small walk if you have time. Total hours of sleep will become around 9 to 10 hours.
Then ou will feel comfartable and you can do all your job very easily without any head ache
Thanks.

The best way to know how much sleep YOU need is testin it by yourself, fix a time for waking up in the morning and wake up by that time and goto sleep when you really feel tired try this for a couple of weeks.

During the period make sure taht you are not taking things like medicines, coffee, cigarretes which may affect your sleep. Then your body will know when to sleep and how much to sleep.

Also remember the human sleep cycle is in multiples of 90 Mins. Waking up after a complete cycle will make you to wake feel more refreshed

7 hours of sleep is required normally on an average for a grown up.
But this is not absolute. It differs from person to person
Also you can sleep for (say) 5hrs in the night and 2-3hrs in the afternoon as this has greater advantages.State of health and quality of sleep is also to be reckoned with
