I CANNOT stop cleaning! I've got the ENTIRE house clean, Yet I still can't seem to stop myself...I know 'nesting' is a normal part of pregnancy, But I kinda feel like I'm taking things overboard, I keep going back to what I've already done, and re-doing it...For example..I cleaned the sink with Comet, Then Pine-Sol....Every time I walk by it, I stop, and wash it again, And then dry it...as well as the counter tops...and floors...and walls...Basically anything I can clean, I am....Am I losing my marbles? My fiance sure seems to think so, Lol.
Also, If it makes any difference, I'm 39 weeks!

you are nesting, and it is so cute. i am sure that you are exasperated with yourself, but this is a symptom of encroaching labor. i started getting it around 30 weeks with my two previous pregnancies, and it hit the worst in the days before i delivered. look at it this way..your mind and abody are set up on bringing your baby into this world safely. and part of that is altering your surroundings to make them better and safer for the baby. hence the sterilization. while you are at it, you should wah the covers to his/her car seat, all of his/her clothes, the crib and bassinet sheets and sterilize all the baby toys you have. I'm not saying this to maock you, but you will feel better about the nesting if you are doing something constructive for the baby as opposed to ransacking the house for every microscopic pice of food or mold that may have escaped your attention your first few cleanings. good luck and congrats!

Congrats! Your getting close. I cleaned everythign that held still around here with my last baby...Lucky for me that I have a 2yo to go messing things up and giving me something to do (my son is 5 weeks). Your not going crazy yet, wait until the baby is teething for that to start, and once it does, come pay us a visit, my place is on the way. Besides, with a newborn you won't be cleaning for a bit anyway, might as well let your fiancee see the place clean one last time. Good Luck dear

You are not losing it!! I did the same thing when I was 37 weeks. I even took it up a notch and made everything from homeaide chix noodle soup to pie to freeze so we could eat when the baby came. I finished the soup about 7pm and my water broke 1/2 an hour later. Good luck and congrats!!

What you're experiencing is totally normal. Don't worry too much about it. Just rest assured that your house is sparkling clean, because after the baby is born, it won't stay that way for very long. lol.

Ha ha, you are not losing it. I did the same thing just before my baby came. I was even washing door frames, light sockets, anything that had the lightest spec of dirt of dust. Also anything was out of place- look out! Dont worry it will all be over soon :o)

Would you like to come clean my house too?
It's normal honey. You're meant to get this overwhelming urge to clean so that you can bring your baby home to a clean environment- but this never happened to me!

That happens right before you give birth. I was living in a one room apartment when I was pregnant, and I was practically moping the ceiling. lol
Congrats and good luck!
If I was you, I would pack my bag if you haven't done it yet.

Please come to my house!!! I have plenty of cleaning to be done! Seriously though, lots of women get like that before they go into labor, I know I did. I had the cleanest house on the block!
