and it has been 2 years since I last saw him. We broke up because his family did not accept that I was not of his background/religion. He told me he got married six months ago (arranged) and is not happy at all and regretted not having fought harder to save our relationship back then. I, on the other hand, am happy with who I am with now but I wonder if there are couples out there who are unhappily married because of the pressure of family??

Yes there are. And it doesn't have to be because of religious pressure either. A friend of mine got married because she'd had to promise her mother that she would as soon as she could because she was already...26. They aren't happy, but for some it's a ring on the finger that's more important than anything else - even happiness.

I'm sure there are couples out there not Happy with who they married but they cannot blame it on there family. HE let them break up your relationship, HE let them tell him who to marry. arranged marriages are common in other cultures but if he is in America, then there is nothing they could have done if he said no.I believe everyone has the right to choose who they love. He has nobody else to blame but himself. My advice-wash your hands of it and be happy with you life. He made his bed now let him lie in it.

There are many unhappy marriages due to family pressure. Be thankful you're happy with your relationship. I'm happy in my marriage too.

sounds like you may want to be assertive and confirm even if you provide her yet another chance. maximum persons would say she doesnt deserve one, yet love doesnt artwork like that. so that you may want to connect up and attempt to be acquaintances or more effective back, in spite of the indisputable fact that it may take time to believe her back and he or she might want to wreck it. or you delete her volume, say you made a mistake, dont connect up and take a thoroughly sparkling wreck from her and also you will stumble on a lady who wont damage you.
