surrounded by half a dozen screaming teenage girls just loving the attention they draw to themselves..... Can't the bus drivers boot them off the bus for being so anti social running up and down the bus aisle and picking on elderly people?

It's pretty sad that decent people can't ride the bus anymore on account of some bratty & obnoxious people. The bus driver should give a warning, but I think that bus drivers are afraid because of lawsuits or violence against them.

its not just you who has to put up with their erratic behaviour. its a problem that i endure as well as i stand or sit in the bus and a small group of teens shouting, screaming, swearing and hitting each other, which is pathetic as well as it annoys the other passengers who are on board. if they had their parents with them, then i'm sure they wouldn't behave in the manner that they did. i agree with you in regards to bus drivers and that they ought to be given the power to order rowdy and offensive kids off the bus because we shouldn't be made to tolerate nor stand for such nonsense. some of those kids in today's age have no respect for anyone, nor anything other than themselves- and that is so terrible to see.
even though i am 25 years of age, i still feel uncomfortable being around kids whilst i'm on the bus and of them being verbally, and even physically aggressive, as well as acting like sheer idiots.
therefore it goes to show its not just the elderly for example who have to experience troublesome teens.

Your bus line might have its own security guards or police force. Contact the bus authorities and ask them to put guards on the bus. No one should have to put up with obnoxious children or adults. Get others on the bus to complain to the authorities, too. If enough people complain, the authorities will have to do something.

I would advise your local authority and see if you can get a conductor put on the bus to watch out for this behaviour. It is not fair on the other passengers and especially the elderly people.

That's Life! Unfortanetly we can not do anything to immature people. Some people are just rude and cruel. They don't know what that person they are picking on is going through. Someone that you cut off or flick off or pick on may have just found out they have cancer or someone in the family might have just died. I think people should just keep to themselves and let the little B.S. go.

it is annoying and so unneccessary. and it can be very intimidating too. unfortunately there is nothing that we can do bcos who wants to face the wrath of these ill-mannered, rude creatures? the fact is if you or I asked them to tone it down, when they respond with verbal abuse then no one else will step in to support us. as a society we have become so insular that no one is willing to stand up any more, even tho' we may want to do/say something and know that we should, we are too afraid to interfere. and in some cases rightly so - look at the number of kids carrying knives and such. its a depressing fact of the society we live in.

our bus driver used to boot them off, and they weren't allowed upstairs unless with an adult,
complain to the bus station if you feel so strongly about it

This happens a lot on my way home from work (There's always one, isn't there!) and what they do is completley annoying, sadly though, i'll go with what others are saying here, there isn't anything we can dio about immature children.

a few years ago yeah, but people are to scared to do anything nowadays!! I know if it was me when i was a kid we would have been manhandled off the bus!!!
