Checks and money orders don't count..If you work for a bank or store you are not disqualified to answer this question. Also how much actual cash have you held in your hands that was yours..not the store's or your employers..
I don't think I have ever held more than a few hundred ..never had the need to carry that much cash,mostly plastic..I think it was in Vegas after I won a few times.

$5,900.00. It was cash I received (okay, my wife and I received!) from the sale of a vehicle. We sold one of our vehicles to a private party that paid cash.

$25,000 in $100 bills that was actually mine. Outside of that - I worked for a grocery store and counted tills all night - so........it just depended on the night.
